    SeaquestriaFest was created to offer a loving community for Bronies everywhere and to keep the magic (bing-bong!) alive and thriving along the Maryland shore—where the echoes of an unsolved mystery linger. Set against the backdrop of a laid-back beachfront getaway, our convention invites you to follow the clues, trade secrets, and piece together the truth lurking just beneath the ocean waves...

    Our convention is located at The Grand Hotel, Ocean City. Over the course of your weekend, you can expect:

    WHAT TO EXPECT?

    MR. THUNDER

    This one-of-a-kind Hippogriff detective moves fast! Whether he’s chasing leads or chasing highs, Mr. Thunder's there with a smoky pipe, sharp eyes, and even sharper instincts. A gentleman who knows how to party once the case is closed, he balances extreme sleuthing with extreme fun! Catch him at the nearest nightclub, arcade, or karaoke bar.

    MISS SALTWATER TAFFY

    Saltwater Taffy, or Miss Taffy, is cursed with a face of perpetual guilt. A sweet, gentle Hippogriff maid, she spends her time tidying, doodling, and fretting with her purple hair bows. Miss Taffy adores food, too—especially anything sweet or savory—and is happy to share! Just don't mind the constant glances over her shoulder... she's innocent, really!

    Ms. Phoenix

    The desert rose of Assateague Island. Ms. Phoenix is a wild mare with a blood-red smile, and always two steps ahead of the competition. What she's competing for? She'll never tell. Folk say she’s useful; others say she’s dangerous. Either way, she knows every shortcut, every happy haunt, and every shadowy corner where trouble lurks after dark...

    › Do not engage in any behavior that may endanger the health or safety of attendees, staff, guests, or vendors.
    › Treat all attendees, staff, vendors, guests, and volunteers with professionalism and respect at all times.
    › Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. No exceptions.
    › Tobacco use is strictly prohibited except in designated areas.
    › Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited except in designated/private rooms or events where alcohol is explicitly allowed.

    › Outside food and drink are prohibited within event spaces.
    › Selling merchandise or promoting events on the property is prohibited except with prior authorization or vendor status.
    › Distribution of promotional materials is prohibited except in designated areas.
    › Posting or displaying signage of any kind is prohibited.
    › Announcing or promoting unauthorized events or materials to attendees is prohibited.    Any individual found violating these rules may be asked to leave the premises immediately. All attendees are expected to comply with the laws and ordinances of Ocean City, Maryland. Violations may result in removal or a ban from future attendance.     › Cosplays must comply with local, state, and federal laws.
    › Footwear is required at all times; bare feet are prohibited.
    › Costumes may not include sharp or dangerous protrusions.
    › Costumes must not obstruct the view of others during panels or events, or pose a risk due to size, limited visibility, or restricted maneuverability.
    › Live steel or functional metal weapons are prohibited.
    › Projectiles or firearms of any kind are strictly prohibitied.
    › Realistic or replica firearms are prohibited, including those with orange tips. All firearm props must clearly appear non-threatening and harmless.
    › All costumes must be G-rated. Swimsuit areas must be fully covered. Costumes may not include offensive or vulgar elements, nor may they represent hateful or discriminatory organizations.
    › Laser pointers and high-intensity lights that may cause eye injury are prohibited.

    COSPLAY

    SeaquestriaFest welcomes all cosplayers! We love seeing the creativity and effort that goes into every costume. To ensure everyone has a good time, all cosplayers must follow the guidelines below. If you are unsure whether your costume complies, please visit Operations to have it reviewed by the Cosplay Contest Lead.› Cosplay is not consent. Ask permission before touching costumes or props, and respect a cosplayer’s right to decline. Many cosplayers are happy to take photos, but please ask before photographing or posting images online. A cosplay is the creator’s art and likeness, and should be treated with respect.
